I have to wonder if Adam Dread ever visited any restaurants in other states ? Many other states already allow firearms.

"The legislature has put in some exceptions which, although well-intended, are bad for business. The statute allows any restaurant to deny firearms on their premises, and to inform the public by putting a sign/banner outside that says, "No guns allowed." But what message does that really send? Why remind tourists and our citizens that guns are all around? Further, for the restaurants that allow guns ... imagine their insurance rates. Can you say "added liability?'' Who do you think that cost will be passed on to?"

No. What the 'no guns allowed' sign means is that the owner doesn't want the customer to be able to defend themself. Like the Tennessee Restaurant Association Dread doesn't want to take responsibility for his actions of putting up a sign. He, like the the TRA, would rather hide behind a law and pretend their hands are tied on the issue.

Now they have to fish or cut bait.

I would like to see legislature added that say's their posting has to say,,NO LEGAL GUNS ALLOWED, afterall that's what it means, this guy says he survived a gunfight? was he with hillary when all those bullets were flying over her head or something.I thought under current laws there were no drunk people in the bars.typical liberal fear mongering, they believe themselves super heroes then spread unfounded lie's to incite the masses . I have communicated with Adam Dread on a number of occasions regarding his litigation on behalf of what he has termed a "coalition of like minded individuals" and from his responses I would submit that his part in this is purely greed. I'm pretty sure that this guy has an agenda that reaches far beyond his worry for the public safety regarding this restaurant carry thing. I may be wrong but I believe that it all revolves around the money he stands to make off of this "coalition of like minded individuals". This guy apparantly is proud of the fact that he has been voted the "Third best DUI attorney" in the Nashville Metro area and displays a scrolling marquee on the index (Home) page of his Durham and Dread Law Firm website (). BTW, he received this auspicious award via a Best of Nashville 2007 Readers' Poll conducted by The Nashville Scene on 4 October, 2007. A guy like that doesn't do pro bono work. He's created scads of "billable hours" for himself and his firm. In order for a firm to succeed attorneys have to generate billable hours but setting up your own "coalition of the like minded" (that term cracks me up in this case) and promoting it as he is, seems unethical to me. He's ripping off those restaurant owners and other members of his coalition as well as threatening our legal rights. Someone over on the TGO forum () asked if he had ever been backed over by an ambulance and I would submit that that is entirely possible.

Oh Counselor Dread, those white lights located adjacent to the brake lights as well as that highly audible beep, beeping sound eminating from the back of the ambulance are indicators that you should rapidly move 6 to 7 feet to either your left or right .... or .... NOT.

According to his Wiki page, his real name is not Adam Dread. That being said, I find it hard to take anything he says as truthful....seeing that he can't even be truthful about his name.
