"Guns and Bars" shirts and other accesories

Despite several years of effort and the findings of the General Assembly on the issues, a significant number of misinformed citizens (some intentionally - some just as a sad result of our educational systems), appointed law enforcement, governor(s), and even the news media continue to think that Tennessee has bars and that Tennessee's handgun permit holders will as of July 14 turn out in large numbers (some perhaps drinking libations) to celebrate the historic change in Tennessee's firearms laws.

Many of these would have the public believe or themselves believe in an apparent well entrenched misinformed epiphany that Tennessee's handgun permit holders are going to go in these family restaurants ready to shot at anything that remotely poses a threat to them - like waitresses, bus boys, hosts, and other patrons.

It seems that as a public service - since we have done a woefully inadequate job of educating the miseducated - for TFA is to develop some plan to provide a margin of comfort for these unarmed patrons and editorialists.

The purpose of this thread is to explored that opportunity.

1) What about developing a line of bright hunter orange shirts, jackets or other upper body articles of clothing that proclaims "DON'T SHOOT ME - I AM UNARMED" That would give a word of caution to the tea induced handgun permit holder but would not aid in the protection from other dangerous risks. TFA could offer these through its online store.

2) What about the installation of bullet proof glass partitions and/or portable self defense cubicles. These would likely need to be sold to restaurants but they could rent them to the patrons for peace of mind and/or raise the prices for their menu items. We have TFA contractors who could develop and distribute the items.

3) Perhaps some would prefer something less visible - like TNFA (Tennessee Non-Firearms Association) bullet proof vests that could be worn discretely under their clothes. Of course, in most instances this would not protect from a triple-tap to the head but according to law enforcement, Tennessee's handgun permit holders are so inadequately trained that is not likely to intentionally happen anyway.

There have to be other public service ways TFA can be involved, let's talk about it.

well it's only not apparent John to the ignorant,aka the uninformed,misinformed that permit holders actually are most often serious patriots to the constitution who love the country as our fore fathers drafted it from dirt ,and that we cherish life ,liberty as well as the pursuit of happiness for ourselves our families and the misinformed. It's been said so many times one would think it need not be said, but the best way to lead is by example. for the fearful you lead by bravery,for the misinformed you lead by diligence bathed in the truth and actual facts not fear based rantings,and for the would be activists you lead by doing,doing whats right ,speaking up with the truth when necessary,and standing in the line of fire when tyrants cast out their wrath.Freedom will never,ever ,be free.
