I'm very much in favor of such a celebration...however, they require "Cold Range Carry"--unloaded & secured in
a holster. If I have a handgun on my person, it will be loaded.

I noticed on your website that you are hosting an Open Carry
Celebration, June 27th 2009. I am a little confused. I don't
understand why the holstered handguns must be unloaded. You say you
that this for all who support 1st and 2nd Amendment rights. Why would
anyone be interested in wearing an unloaded handgun. The handgun is a
tool for protection and is useless if unloaded. This seems like a
very dangerous situation for a large group of people to be gathered
with items that are in high demand from the criminal element. Will you
have armed security?
I always carry my handgun to church (although concealed). I believe
it is my duty to protect myself and my family at all times. I am not
trying to be too critical, but would like to understand your
reasoning.
