Going to Nashville

Postby Sky King » Mon Feb 13, 2012 9:42 am

Ok, as it stands, I am planning to go to Nashville tomorrow, the 14th. I have emailed Mike Faulk to advise him of my intent to come and request that I have an opportunity to speak. I know that we are not expecting as much resistance in The Senate but I still want to hear first hand what is being said by those on both sides of this.

I haven't actually had an opportunity to speak with Senator Faulk but I will try to contact him today. So unless I hear that he may roll the bill and make the trip meaningless, I will try to get up there.

Also since the committee does not meet untill 3:30, I am going to try to get around to some of the members of the House Consumer and Employee Affairs Committee as several members of that committee are from Shelby County.

I have tried several times to recieve e-mail thru my 49 Dist. Rep Mike Sparks but no responce or No follow up from his offive by way of e-mail. Also I have made a personal call this morning to his office at 8:45am no answer I left message stateing that I would like to know his position and that I would appreciate his vote for the HB 3560. I also have made e-mail wtih my 13 distr. Sen. Bill Ketron with no follow up , But I have called this morning and actually talked to his staff member but he could not tell me if Sen. ketron would stand for or against SB. 3002, but he said I would recieve a call back, we will see. Mike Sparks my 49 Distr. rep. does not return e-mails for sure, and I never have had the oppurtunity to speak to him just his staff, this is the last straw for me ! I will be a No Vote on his next term!!!
