However, I believe the talk show host was incorrect (was it Gill or G man, both are noted for being incorrect many times).
I have never seen anything in the Constitution that stated other states have to recognize licenses from another state. A few examples are: NY back in the 60's did not recognize a driver's license from any state, if the driver was under 17. Today, many states will not recognize a marriage license issued by another state if the person is under a certain age, or if they are related such as cousins. There are exclusions in some state laws for licenses.
That and Doctors and Attorneys licenses are not accepted in all other states, and this goes for some other professional people.
As far as the Talk Show host, again if it is you know who, then take what Gill has to say with a very large grain of salt. If it was G. Gordon, a larger piece of salt might be required. I used to listed to both of these guys until they drove me completely nuts. I believe in most of the same things they believe in; however, I like to hear both sides so I can form my own opinion, and both condemn those with other sides of the story.
"To preserve liberty, it is essential that the whole body of people always possess arms..." (Richard Henry Lee)
"The best we can hope for concerning the people at large is that they be properly armed." (Alexander Hamilton)
