Tanner's Replacement

8th District Rep. John Tanner's district. Since Tanner is not running for re-election who shall we vote for. I know of three republicans that are running in the primary, Fincher, Flynn and Kirkland. Don't know of any Democrats that are running. Any comments or who. Of the three that I have read either one sounds OK. Going to a tea party meeting on Monday and Fincher is suppose to be there so hope to hear more.

Roy Herron, (Tanner's cousin) is on the ticket for the Democrats.

I have known Roy Herron a long time and feel that he has generally voted quite well from a 2nd Amendment perspective. There have been perhaps a few votes where competing interests may have raised balancing issues (e.g., open records from closed database). Perhaps we can get them to come to the Union City chapter meeting one night perhaps for an open panel discussion - but that would put the obligation on TFA to really blow out the attendance.
