Passage of SB 3012

With the concurrence in the house and passage of SB 3012, (minus the Tindell Amendment) is there enough time to get it before the Governor, and then let him have his 10 days prior to Veto,and still get an override vote scheduled in the House and Senate before the session times out?

You are correct, IF the Governor signs the bill, or we can get a Veto override scheduled and done.

If things move fast enough which will require that the bill be engrossed and signed by the leadership in both houses, it could be to the governor by the end of the week or first next week. Then, the 10 days starts to run. If he waits till the 10th day, they may - just may - be enough time for the veto override. It took a little over a week last year.

The big question may be how much time they spend on the budget.

Yeah I noticed they did away with amendment one. I am not happy that they tabled the second amendment. Tonight when I get in from work I am going to send a shame on you email to ken yager and jim cobb in reference to tabling the second amendment. I do not like the idea of them being able to use the circle and slash symbol when tca is the correct verbiage. Tca should trump that. If it does not what the hell is the use in having tca if lawmakers, judges, etc do not adhere to it and seem to make things up as they go along?

Yes david I know what tca is as I studied criminal law in college believe it or not. It seems as though judges and lawmakers and politicians do the exact opposite of what tca says most of the time. Why have tca and make it the letter of the law and law of the land in tn if these people are going to ignore it? Tca is the law of the land in tn and therefore theoretically cannot be trumped. The people that do trump it and ignore it need to be held accountable imho.

On tn.gov. it shows SB3012 signed by both speakers what day starts the Governors 10 day period?

Can we sue to have the circled gun removed bececause it makes it confusing to gun carriers because nowhere else is allows to use it.

Actually I would like to see the current TCA ammended to remove "substantionaly similar". Make them post vertibatum on any buisness.
