So I noticed that at the main entrance there is a posting however.....when I went to the mall the other day, I entered the mall through Sears. Sears does NOT have a posted sticker on their door going into the mall. So if you enter through a door at one of the various stores there and they are NOT posted then how would you know? Is it required that ALL doors going into the mall be posted in order for it to be valid & legal?

From T.C.A. 39-17-1359
Posted notices shall be displayed in prominent locations, including all entrances primarily used by persons entering the building, portion of the building or buildings where weapon possession is prohibited.
I would have to say the posting is not valid, or at least not valid for Sears. (The law does mention "portions" and therefore allows a property owner to only post certain rooms or areas but not the whole property.) Of course, the standard disclaimer applies. (John is the resident attorney around here, so I defer to any corrections/additional commentary that he may add.)
