I drove by Jim's Place East at 5560 Shelby Oaks Drive and checked the doors. There was no posting of any kind.

This is a bit more of an upscale restaurant with impecable service and a great admosphere. My wife and I have been there a couple of times and were not disapointed.

I have read somewhere however they are planning to move. I would hate to see that because where they are just adds to the the atmosphere. Really nice.

Side Porch is a family owned steak restaurant in Bartlett on Stage Rd across from Bartlett United Methodist Church. It is a casual dining atmosphere with very good steaks and good service. Price is very reasonable. My wife, my family and I have eaten there on numerous occasions. They do serve alcohol.

They are not posted and after my conversation with the owner, I think I can quite safely say, it never will be. While paying my bill, I was thanking him for not posting. He replied that he was a strong supporter of gun rights, a life member of the NRA, believed in our right to carry and welcomes law abiding permit holders into his establishment.

So if you are looking for a good steak, Side Porch in Bartlett. We need to support establishements such as this.

Houston's at 5000 Poplar in Memphis is NOT POSTED. More upscale, a bit higher priced but great service.

I did not see any posting when my wife, daughters and I went there on the 12th of July this year.

Thanks for the posting. I think listed the establishments that aren't posted is just as helpful as posting the ones that are, but some respondents to my notices don't agree.

Thanks again. This is one of Memphis's best restaurants. I've eaten there many times and love it. Good to hear it isn't posted.

They used to be at one point and last time I was in I talked with the owner and expressed my thanks for their decision. He was shocked to hear it come from a gun toting redneck and with a smile, simply said "your welcome"

Is it possible that it may have come with the new management? If you recall, they got closed down by MPD and the Local DA for being a public neusance. It was found that there was a lot of drug dealing going on. It reopened in just a day or so with new management and the "drug dealers" gone.
