Knox County Library Director Resigns:)

Postby macville » Fri Aug 27, 2010 5:41 pm

So the news in Knoxville today is reporting that three people from soon to be ex-county mayor Mike Ragsdale's staff have resigned today. Among them is anti-gun Knox County library director Larry Frank. I have been talking to Knox County commissioner, Richard Briggs (who spoke at the Knoxville TFA meeting earlier this year) who has been speaking with our new County Mayor, Tim Burchett, and evidently Mr. Burchett would be interesting in issuing an executive order that would all make county owned buildings which are posted (aka: the library system) take down their postings. The only things that would stay posted are buildings required by state law (schools) and the city county building since it has courtrooms in it (easier to wand everyone coming in than just the individual courtrooms.) So I encourage you to write our new county mayor and let him know that you support such an executive order being issued since those of us with HCP holders are NOT the problem and we pay the same taxes as everyone else and should therefore not be discriminated against.
