Is there a method to recall or remove a Federal Senator from office?
If I wanted Olympia Snowe or Susan Collins to represent me, I would move to their State.

Referring to the fact that both of our Senators support START, or something else?

Actually, senators aren't supposed to represent the interests of the people; they are supposed to represent the interests of the Sate...of course, that's another discussion entirely.

I understand all that, the divide between the Senate for the State's interest, and the People's House. it was set up to preclude the big States from being able to run over the little ones. But, the State is an amalgamation of it's people, and the Senators are not given cart blanch to vote their own convictions on the People's business without respect to the wishes of their constituents.
Does the term "Consent of the Governed" mean anything to you, or them?

They should take the stance that they are supposed to represent the best interest of the People, and not plan their every action with a view to getting re-elected.
The problem we have is that the Senators and Representatives are able to build power, and are simply not interested in representing their districts. That will never change until term limits are instituted. Originally the legislators did not make a carrier out of being a legislator, they had to go back home and pick up the pieces of their farms or businesses. Now they hang on to add to their retirement, and to make sure their golden parachute of heath care and favors from lobbyist keep the back pocket padded.
It is like your fridge at home, if you quit stocking food, your teen age and young adult children will find somewhere else to live, but as long as you succor them, they remain. We gave the Legislators the keys to the cash bar, (or rather, they voted the keys into their own hands and we are too weak to take them away) and as long as we are picking up the tab, they will never leave that hotel room.
