What are the requirements for a posting on a business to have force of law?

For example, if I pull a Starbucks and say "We ask that you do not carry weapons on this property," then that would satisfy the whiny antis. But is it a legal posting?

Do I have to have a sign of a certain size? Does it have to be an order instead of a request? Must I post the appropriate TCA code?

Any help is appreciated.

I would take repeal of this restrictive law over just about any other silly anti-gun law here in Tennessee. It is the one that cranks me the most. A stupid sign on a PUBLIC door can strip me (and you) of our Constitutional rights under penalty of the law.

With our RINOS, I just can't see a repeal ever happening unless something big changes.

"THE US CONSTITUTION IS NOT HONORED ON THESE PREMISES"
