IS THERE ANYONE OUT THERE THAT CAN TELL ME HOW FAR BACK DOES THIS INVESTIGATION GO? I HAVE CHECKED MY RECORD AND CAN'T FIND ANY INFORMATION. DO CONVICTIONS THAT ARE MORE THAN 10YRS SHOW UP ON THE NICS CHECKS? WOULD APPRECIATE AN INFORMED RESPONSE. WHAT IS THE STATE OF NEVADA'S LAW AND DO THEY ONLY CHECK THEIR STATE OR GO FEDERAL FOR HANDGUN PURCHASES? I'M JUST AN OLD "CLINGER" CLINGING TO MY BIBLE AND MY GOD GIVEN AND CONSTITUTIONAL GIVEN RIGHTS TO OWN AND BEAR FIREARMS!!! MY CONVICTION WAS MORE THAN 10 YRS BACK IN THE "PEOPLES REPUBLIC OF CA." I THINK THAT THE LIBERALS ALL SHOULD BE ROUNDED UP AND SENT SOMEWHERE ELSE, MAYBE FRANCE WOULD LIKE 'EM????

The NICS database has no expiration. I have seen entries more than 40 years old.

The NICS database is a federalized information system pulling data from all state and federal agencies that are required to submit electronic data to it.

Just remember, its big government and they are here to help.
