SC TFA Meeting Corrections & Additions
Posted: Wed Jun 14, 2006 1:01 pm
First, my apologies for a typo in the date of our meeting; it's tomorrow, 6-15-06, not 1-15-06.
It's still 7:00 PM at Range USA, 2770 Whitten Rd. in Memphis.
In addition to Mike Webb, NRA Field Rep for TN, we will have TN House Candidate Ron Lollar. Mr. Lollar is currently on the Shelby County School Board and is responsible for the trap shooting programs in the system. He is running in TN House Dist. 99 to replace the retiring Bubba Pleasant (R-Arlington), who, after pledging support of the TFA/NRA backed Restaurant Carry Bill; voted present, not voting. Although Representative Pleasant is a very personable individual, this was the most cowardly choice on the vote he could have made. He also proposed noise legislation against gun ranges that was defeated. It looks like TN Gun Owners will be better represented by Mr. Lollar.
Our thanks to Mike Webb and Ron Lollar for their time.
In Liberty,
Pat McGarrity - Director, Shelby County TFA
