All:

This email is going to the TFA Shelby County Chapter email list.

As 2004 draws to a close, it's time to look forward to 2005. I have done so in terms of my own personal goals, and have committed to a professional education goal that will take up most of my spare time over the next few months. Consequently, I'm announcing to you my resignation as Director of the TFA Shelby County Chapter. I want to thank those of you who have offered your support and encouragement at each step in our Chapter's development, and I look forward to the time our paths will cross again. You'll still be seeing me from time to time.

Now for the good news, no, the GREAT news!! I'm pleased to announce that Pat McGarrity has agreed to take over the duties as Director of the Shelby County Chapter. This coming year will be a very important year for the Chapter, and one of our top goals needs to be to increase our membership and the involvement of our members. The results of the last four years have been good, and we need to move to the next level. I'm very pleased in that Pat has the skills to lead us to the next level, and the timing is right for him to do so.

So, no matter what your level of involvement last year, I urge each of you to examine your pesonal goals for 2005 and decide to what extent you want to be involved with the TFA and the Right to Keep and Bear Arms. Needless to say, we need more people willing to carry his or her share of the load.

The first meeting of 2005 will be Thursday, Jan. 20th, at 7 PM at Range USA. Please come to that meeting and let Pat know to what extent you can help. Also, you can email Pat at patjaxtec@aol.com.

Here's to the future, my friends.

Happy New Year!!

David Waldrip, Director
Shelby County Chapter
