I woke up today to read a TFALAC alert:

"BREAKING NEWS:
National Guard Ambushed by Para-Military Extemist Faction

Boston, April 20- Police and National Guard units seeking to confiscate a cache of recently banned assault weapons..."

I went to CNN, USA Today, and The Boston Globe and found NO references to this at all. Mr. Harris, where did this story come from?

Mr. Harris, you said, "...This should remind each of us as firearms owners that we must be good citizens and set an example for others..."
That really confuses me. The article said that the state was there to collect "assault weapons" that were recently deemed illegal. So if your flat-top AR varmint gun, or any gun for that matter is deemed illegal, you are going to turn it over? And we should to? I am really not understanding what you are saying at all.

The article talks about almost 300 people that were killed or injured. Were those police and National Guard? 300+ people coming down to confiscate weapons?

this is the first i've heard of it and there's nothing on foxnews.com about it, i won't believe it till i see it there. cnnBS msnbcBS abcBS cbsBS nbcBS and the lot have a problem with overexagerating. to them an assault weapon can be anything from a slingshot on up.

ohh sh**. ROFLMAO i just got the email and read it. it did happen on this day and in mass, but over 200 years ago.

it was the revolution and Thomas Gage http://www.patriotresource.com/people/gage.html was born in england in 1719. that's a great email john i thoroughly enjoyed reading it.

Well, I'm glad everybody had a hardy laugh on my behalf. I'm glad you all feel better.

Who is it that has "Proud law-abiding gun owner" on their signature? Ya, I used to have pride too, never broke a *deleted by moderator* law, and I own guns. Thanks to my guns I've been ostricized from the community, been forced out of my job, and I'm truly scared to even go into town anymore. That's where pride and an NRA life membership get you.

I signed up for the "TFA alerts" to be alerted of new laws and such, not to get the TFA parody of the day. I thought the sons of liberty were the aliases of society's new menaces. So thank you all, John Harris included, for absolutely scaring the shit out of me today.
