Where there is smoke.....

I am sure that there is a better place for this as a post, but since it involves different locations, I figured General was as good a place as any.
Had a fairly busy day, went over to Lexington at the invitation of Dr. Chris Alexander, President of the Lexington Rotary Club, (and leader of their pistol shooting group) to represent the TFA, and speak about the 2nd Amendment. After running through the talking points I have gleaned from all the great letters and information here regarding liability and Posting requirements, the Mayor cut a trail at the closing gavel and was nowhere to be found, nor were the Council members. I had printed out the talking points and laid them on the end of the table, I noticed as I left the the copies I had laid out were gone.
In addition, I received a call this afternoon from a gentleman from Union City. Seems that the City Council published yesterday, intent to treat with the Parks issue at tonight's meeting. I sent links to our site, with the appropriate topics for printing. Our talking points were offered to the Council, but not even read by them. My understanding is that many supporters of the Carry Bill showed up at the meeting, but only three were allowed to speak, refusing a young Veteran with several tours of duty to his credit the right to be heard. The vote was 4-3 to opt out, the comment was made that it was a front row seat at a Communist extravaganza. There is a real desire in that City to form a Chapter, and get after these Councilmen and the Mayor for running roughshod over the Constitutional rights of the free Citizens. I spoke with another individual from there after the meeting, as well as receiving an email from the original gentleman. There are 100 applications in an envelope ready to wing their way into waiting hands.
West TN is on fire, it remains to be seen just who will be charred once the smoke clears!
