Check out what laws some of our elected officals are trying to pass.

Bill Summary for HB0867 / *SB0569
This bill would require, effective January 1, 2006, that all firearms transported into and sold in this state be "personalized," meaning that the firearm incorporates technology that automatically limits its operational use so that it can only be fired by a recognized or authorized user. A violation of this bill would be a Class E felony. This bill would exempt from its requirements handguns made available for purchase and official use by local, state, and federal law enforcement officers, other federal employees required to carry firearms, and members of the United States armed forces or national guard while actually on duty.

Everybody in Memphis needs to call Representative Brooks,Representative Cooper,Representative Turner and Senator Ford and tell them that you do not want this bill passed into law. If you are attacked in your home by a criminal and you cannot reach your firearm, no one else in your household can help you because with this technology you and only you can use that firearm to protect yourself.
