TFA Video Service being developed

TFA is working on a new video service that should be operational soon and fully functional (barring any problems we are not aware of at this time) by the next general assembly and 2010 election cycle.

The service is planned to carry both live and archived footage. The service will run 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. It will have scheduled live broadcasts, "breaking event" broadcasts, archived footage from old broadcasts and archived footage from other sources such as the General Assembly and other sources.

The video at present includes a schedule of programming that covers several hours in a loop as well as additional footage which is available "on demand". For example, we have legislative footage from the floor fights in 2005 as part of the current on demand archive.

What I need at this point is for as many of you as possible to do the following:

1) Use the footage and the online, realtime chat. We need to test and debug with a number of users to test the load. Even if you are not actively watching, que it up and let it run so that we can test with a number of sessions being streamed. We would like to get 30 to 50 going at one time.

2) Look for footage (Youtube is great) for additional relevant educational and informational videos. Add those links to this thread and we can import them into the archive.
