From Fox News:

Abortion Doctor Gunned Down at Kansas Church, Suspect in Custody.

WICHITA, Kan. — Dr. George Tiller, who remained one of the nation's few providers of late-term abortions despite decades of protests and attacks, was shot and killed Sunday in a church where he was serving as an usher.

The gunman fled, but a 51-year-old suspect was arrested some 170 miles away in suburban Kansas City three hours after the shooting, Wichita Deputy Police Chief Tom Stolz said.

I can just imagine the hue and cry this will bring about!

I agree, it does not bode well at all, but what church would allow such a man as an usher. I know all churches are full of hypocrites, but Lord help us!

Reformed Lutheran, to answer your question Ben.

I am not worried about this, as it relates to gun rights, at least in Tennessee, and frankly, nationally. We will bad press, but that is nothing new.

Then again, maybe we can expect a push to make abortion clinics GFZ (yes, I am aware the incident happened in a church - we all know how anti logic works).

My first thought was why didn’t the other parishioners draw and shoot the killer? Oh yeah, ‘twas probably a “gun free zone” aka target rich environment.
