I emailed the members of the House Judiciary Committee, to welcome them and note my support for 2nd amendment and carry permit, etc. Referred them to this website for information on support or lack of support for bills that come before the committee.

Received one response so far, from Rep. Eddie Bass: "Steve, thanks for writing. My voting record will show that you and i feel the same on all the items you mentioned. Contact me anytime......Eddie"

Thanks for your interest. I agree with you that the Second Amendment conveys an individual right to keep and bear arms to each and every American. I believe that like the right of free speech the right to keep and bear arms is an essential right of a free people.

I look forward to reviewing handgun legislation during the upcoming legislative session and welcome further emails or calls from you at your convenience.

Just a FYI:
At the moment the Legislature is in the middle of "Musical Offices"....
Members are moving into new offices and some are also changing staff, very chaotic.
Please check the website (it gets updated often) for Legislature's new office, staff and other contact info.
Sometimes during an office move, members and staff will be out of communication... email is not lost, just harder to access.
