Gun Show News!
Posted: Tue Sep 09, 2008 9:18 pmBob Pope has announced he has sold his gun show(s) & will be retiring. The December 08 show will be the last one he promotes. He says there is no issue honoring all the TGOA memberships (free admission) for the Oct & Dec shows.
The new buyer is RK Shows, the ones whom moved into the Smyra bldg that Bob used to have his shows in. Time will tell if all of the local dealers move from Bob to RK. Like many promoters, some dealers have had issues with the RK promoters.
Be sure to tell Bob how much we've appreciated his shows thru the years when you visit in Oct/Dec. For those that may not know it, Bob was always kind enough to make available gun show tables for minimal cost ($5 or so) to any non-profit group that asked for them. This included the NRA, Priest Lake Gun Club, etc. etc. Bob never bragged about doing this, but never denied a table to a non-profit either.
