The Tennessean is reporting in multiple articles this weekend that former House member Kim McMillan (D. Clarksville) is exploring the possibility of running for governor of Tennessee in 2010.

Mrs. McMillan was well known for 10 years to gun owners who were active in legislative issues in Tennessee. She was one of Jimmy Naifeh's shadow operatives who worked routinely in the House Judiciary with others such as Rob Briley to keep much 2nd Amendment legislation from going to the floor of the House for a representative vote. Thus McMillan, like Jimmy Naifeh, was no stranger to using the "committee system" to keep 2nd Amendment legislation from the floor since in most instances she knew or should have known that it would in fact pass into law if it was voted on by all 99 House members.
Tennessee gun owners - hundreds of thousands of them - DO NOT need Kim McMillan in the governor's office where the veto power could cause even more legislation to fail even if it passes both the House and the Senate!
