If you want to hit back at the jerks who forced this issue, do this. Write all the reps/senators who voted for the bill in the first place and let them know that you are tired of wasting their time working on this issue and your time also when there are far more important issues. Ask them to remove ALL restrictions on places that serve alcohol. That's right, all places. Explain to them that since it would still be illegal for us to consume alcohol anyway, that if we were going to break the law by drinking we'd do it in any place, so it doesn't matter WHAT the place is--bar/restaurant/bowling ally/banquet hall/etc. Also, ask them to repeal TN code 39-17-1359 that allows businesses/government to post against weapons. Both businesses and some governments are discriminating against us simply because we chose to protect ourselves with a weapon. It's not right and it's time for that to end.

If they say they will support the removing alcohol restrictions, but not 39-17-1359, then ask them to make that part of the TN code clearer and that signs have to be what it says in 1359 for wording with either "property" or "building" depending on what's banned. That simple change would help make sure you can't be charged for walking past a sign that's just the stupid no guns sign or other crap like that. If you want a good example of what we need to aim for in that regards, SC makes it very clear what you have to have on your sign.
