John did great work on this, we all owe him thanks.

Now I need to get his opinion. On another forum some questions arose.

Namely, what of places such as theaters that sell beer? Do they operate under a restaurants license and are OK to carry? Since we have the definition of restaurant, is it literally restaurant carry, or were some House members accurate in stating it opens up a lot more?

While long, this is the exact thread if anyone wants to see. I try to be polite and accurate, they are gun guys and pro-carry as well.

Thank you but it was not me. It was the members of TFA, NRA and others who were willing to take the time to call these legislators and let their voices be heard. This type of cooperation and vigilance for our rights is what will improve our chances, working together, to fix other problems and perhaps even restore the 10th Amendment to more than a historical nuance.

Some thoughts:

- We still need to write, email, or call Gov. Bredesen and encourage him to sign this thing into law.

- Please thank your reps if they were on the right side of this issue, and politely voice your dissent if they were on the wrong side.

- If/when this is passed, let's pave the way for more pro-gun legislation by carrying responsibly in these restaurants and by encouraging other permit holders to do the same.



As a side note, this vote was encouraging to me personally because my rep. had supported the age restriction amendment because the local police did; however, today I believe he voted to approve the conference committee report. It showed me that emails DO make a difference. Let's celebrate, keep reclaiming our rights, and refuse to give an inch.

John thanks for all your work on this and other pro 2nd ammendment legislation for not only this session but for the past 15+ years. Anyone active in the firearms community in Tn knows your our true champion when it comes to 2nd ammendment and other patriotic issues. We all owe you our thanks.

I do have one question about this legislation what will it mean for places that serve alcohol for onsite consumption thats not a part of Beavers Senate amendment that defines a restaurant?
