FINALLY, Hallelujah!!! Today, the Tennessee House approved the General Assembly Conference Committee report of House Bill 962 by a 66-23 vote. This report removed all restricting amendments.
HB962, sponsored by State Representative Curry Todd (R-95), would enable a person who has a valid Right-to-Carry permit to carry a firearm into restaurants where alcohol may be served, as long as the permit holder is not consuming alcohol or is not otherwise prohibited by posting provisions.
The Senate is expected vote on HB962, as reported by the General Assembly Conference Committee, as early as Monday, May 11.
Now we all know that they will pass this thing, this will be Senate passage number 5!
Then I assume to the Governor for his signature and then we can move to the next issue. Whew!
