From what I can tell, Rep. Todd wants the amendment for the curfew??

The video clip from Channel 4 alludes to the fact that Todd is wanting the curfew amendment. What is the real deal here?

I'm not sure if he WANTS it but maybe that he just doesn't believe that it will pass without it. I would much rather see it pass with it than fail without it.

Read in the TFP he wants it, and was mad at fellow Republicans for stripping it. We can win this fight, it WILL pass without it.

McCormick is normally pro, I am surprised to see him in the wrong column. I will have to contact him and see what is going on.

On another thought, might this be a time to express dismay with the troubled speaker? Specifically, I am mulling over writing a letter basically saying I heard him on Pope's show, and gave him a chance, and here he is hurting us, if he does not change I will support anyone over him in 2010. I haven't decided whether or not to go that road, but I wanted to kick the prospect out there. 500 people pledging a hundred bucks to support the Republican, and maybe more might get his attention.

I would love to contact Rep. Todd, but I can't seem to locate his office's telephone number or his e-mail address anywhere on TFA's site. It would help if there were a convenient list of such contact information. If there actually is such a list on the TFA site, could someone direct me to it? Thanks!

The TN Legislature has a very nice list on their website.

I did find Rep. Todd's contact information on the legislature's website (http://www.legislature.state.tn.us/), but if TFA is going to ask for people to contact specific legislators it would be helpful if we could provide the contact information so as to make it as easy as possible for people to do.

With that in mind, Rep. Todd's e-mail is rep.curry.todd@capitol.tn.gov . His office telephone number is 615-741-1866.

I had a long talk with Rep. Gary Moore Tuesday, and asked him why he voted in favor of killing the Kelsey amendment to strip off the curfew. He said he was in favor of guns allowed in restaurants, but not in bars. His belief is that Rep. Todd is for guns allowed in restaurants, but was trying to conform with the other representatives by using the curfew to get the bill through. He believes Rep. Todd has worked hard to get the bill through and should be commended for his efforts. Rep. Moore said he was going to vote with Rep. Todd. Rep. Moore said the NRA was backing the bill, and I said I believed the lobbyist for the NRA had said the NRA did not back the 11:00 P.M. amendment. He didn't believe that was correct.
In all, Rep. Moore believes in legal carry of guns, but may depend to much on his fellow Reps. for information. We also talked about carry in local parks and at schools. He seemed to be strong in his belief that we should be allowed to carry.

Good day gentlemen,
I receive your TFALAC alerts on a regular basis. I just wanted to let you know that I am new to reading alot of the language in these bills and amendments and such. I really have a difficult time understanding alot of what is being said. I am strongly convicted about all of our 2nd amendment rights. I am more than willing to write, email, or call whichever elected official required but it would be extremely helpful if, when you send out an alert Mr. Harris, that you specify maybe a little more the best way to word such a communication. I believe my elected officials might take me a little more seriously if I have an informed idea regarding the issues. Thank you very much for your time, and especially all your hard work to protect our rights.

As I am in a gerrymandered district (District 80, Johnny Shaw, we are lumped in with Bolivar and Hardeman Co., to assure a Democratic representative) no way he is going to support any bill involving firearms. I write, but never receive a reply. I have written my Senator, (District 27) Lowe Finney on several issues, have never received a reply on any of them from him either.
