Fox News Report on Commercial Appeal

We made national news today when Fox News had Judge Napalitano on and had a report on our dilemma with Commie-rcial Appeal.

The question was, "do concealed carry permit holders have the right to privacy of their permit". The only problem with the report was that here in Tennessee, it is a carry permit, not a concealed carry permit.

Anyhooo, he (da Judge), agreed that we have the right to privacy and Commercial Appeal was legally wrong (in his opinion) in publishing our names.

Judge Napalitano has always struck me as a personal rights type whenever he's spoken.

I agree that the Commercial Appeal was and is wrong to publish the information (mine included), but does he know something I don't? How was it illegal? I hope he is correct, BTW, but I don't see how.

There is some inquiry being made as to whether the acts of the Commercial Appeal may have violated state and federal privacy acts.

Can you say how serious those inquiries are? And how likely it is that such a violation or violations may have been committed?

I would love for the Commercial Appeal to get its hands slapped.

I don't know any more than an inquiry was made to FBI sources in Tennessee and their response.
