Following the most recient actions of our federal government, I have found that several states are not exactally pleased with these actions. Several of these states have began resolutions to demand that the US government back up to the exact limits as specified in the Constitution.
Arizonia
Oklahoma
New Hampshire
To sum all of these up in different way they all express discontent with the current federal level government and that on many issues the federal govet has over reached into the states rights therefore violating the 10th Amendment. All of these resolutions call for the federal government to to cease and desist, effective immediately, mandates that are beyond the scope of these constitutionally delegated powers. And to repeal all compulsory regulations that threaten civil or criminal penilties or loss of federal funding.
What do you guys think of this? This is not just about firarms but is about all of our States rights. About the ability of Tennesseans to be able to decide for Tennessee that we do or do not want abortions. Do we want to be able to decide what our speed limit is.
Is this something that we should be pushing our state to vote on and send to the White House? To me, we elect our rep to represent us not for them to decide what is best for us. For folks like Bob Corker to get on the radio and tell us that "we dont know what is best for us but he does". With 7 of 10 Americans against the current "stimulus package" that includes 500 billion that can be tracked to gloabl warming and billions for new cars. We should have gotten a few cars for the billions we cave GM and Chrystler two months ago. Wich was also against the will of the majority of the people.
What do you guys think.
