East Nashville / Inglewood Community Meeting

Postby johnharris » Mon Feb 02, 2009 2:23 pm

I have agreed to hosting a community meeting at the East Nashville / Inglewood police precinct on civilian firearms ownership and use of force. While the meeting is intended for several community groups in the area, I always want to extend an opportunity to TFA members specifically who might be interested. I would really appreciate having several of the TFA members show up at the meeting if possible.

The meeting will be on February 19 starting at 7pm at the East Precinct. The meeting will probably run 2 hours if we open it up to questions.

I will talk about issues such as firearms ownership, handgun permitting process, guns in the home, and use of force standards. I have asked Dan Ogren to speak some about the current trends of crime in our community and how we as citizens are expected to interact with law enforcement.

Dan indicates the room will hold approximately 100 or so. We need a good estimate of how many are planning to attend.
