what about parks?

I haven't heard anything much about carrying guns in national parks lately, just that the brady bunch has been trying to stop it. So, has it passed, held up, or what? Anybody give me any specifics?

The rule has gone into effect with respect to federal jurisdiction and prosecutions. The state laws which may continue to prohibit possession have not been changed but we are [strike that] were (until the events of this past week which led to the election of Kent Williams as House Speaker) optimistic that they would be this year. That could still happen but certainly the Naifeh/Odom/Turner/Williams gimmicks have raised the percentage of risk that they will not.
