Who is protected by gun restrictions? Attacks in Bartlett

Postby Pat McGarrity » Thu Jan 24, 2008 9:54 pm

Who is protected by gun restrictions in the parks we tax-payers pay for? Let's ask the guys in the story below out for a bike ride, attacked by these criminals. Let's ask the Ohio family vacationing here in Tennessee, who's daughter was killed by a bear last year.

The park in this story is in my neighborhood. A friend of mine and I took his son there not too long ago. Thankfully, the Bartlett Police Dept. has done an excellent job, as usual, of reacting and captured these predatory criminals.

The most insulting fact is that our public "servants" trust these predators more than those they claim to serve. By their actions anti-gun politicians have stated that their priority is protecting two and four legged predators, rather than the law-abiding citizens that pay their salaries. There is no evidence to support the bass-ackwards prejudice exhibited towards gun carry permit holders. There is so much evidence to the contrary, that we are under attack by these domestic terrorists and need to be able to protect ourselves, that publishing it would be a full time job.

Those in the legislature that seek to restrict our ability to legally defend ourselves, and therefore enable criminals, need to decide who they serve.

In Liberty,

Patriot Pat

(Memphis, TN 1/23/2008) Two adults are charged with robbery and aggravated robbery for a brazen mid day attack on two bikers in Bartlett's Nesbit Park, but the suspects police say, had plenty of help from eight juveniles.

"Somehow they overtook the victims, demanded their wallets, cell phones and took their bikes," said Bartlett Lt. Rory Mack.

It happened on the Dr. King holiday when the high school and middle school aged suspects were out of school. Instead they ended up in jail. Investigators still have no clue as to why the two victims were attacked, it seems a total surprise.

"One of the victims stated they took a rest and were sitting there talking to a couple of suspects when all this went down. It was surprising to the victims."

This whole case is still under investigation including just what kind of ties this group had as well as why a group of kids would do such a thing.

"Some of the suspects did indicate to the investigating officer that they were affiliated with gangs. What type, traditional, non traditional, we have no idea."

The case is still under investigation.
