What are the odds that this ruling will be appealed and make it to the Supreme Court, heard by them, and then ruled in an unfavorable manner, thereby opening the doors for other cities and states to start banning too?
Some folks seem to want to have an official Supreme Court ruling, not understanding that it could be an outcome they will not like. Although some laws at the state and local levels do need to be changed and re-written from time to time, I personally don't want the federal government or the Supreme Court involved.
If the Supreme Court overturns this ruling, that in effect would say, It's OK for Washington DC to ban guns. And if the Supreme Court comes out and says that, then it will be OK to ban Guns in every city of America.
I believe that "No Ruling at all" from the Supreme Cout is better than taking a chance and letting them rule one way or the other.
Do we know yet if this is going to be appealed? I have not heard much about this ruling lately. And is there anything a person from Tennessee can do to help keep something like this out of the hands of the Supreme Court?
The liberals act appalled and all torn up over this ruling, but I believe that they are secretly jumping for joy. Because they know now they are closer to having the Supreme Court rule on guns. The Supreme Court right now as I understand it is pretty liberal minded. I have a feeling we will not be happy if this recent circuit court ruling goes to them.
