Ok, we all know it is illegal to carry a concealed weapon into a National Park, and that it is legal to transport a handgun, if it is temporarily inoperable or stored in such a manner as to prevent their ready use. Now, can we get this law changed?
Here is a link to a website that is trying to get the President to change this law. I thought it was interesting, and I have just mailed Alexander, Frist, and Davis (not that I think Lincoln Davis will do a thing for our gun rights), as well as GW.
Who knows, if enough of us write, maybe (just maybe) the law will be changed.

BENTON, Tenn. (AP) -- Authorities hunted Friday for a black bear that picked up a 2-year-old boy in its mouth and mauled his mother, critically injuring them before killing the child's older sister.
The attack came Thursday afternoon in the Cherokee National Forest in southeastern Tennessee.

You can carry in most National Forests, depends on state law.
