Anyone go the the gun show this past weekend?

I hadn't been to one in quite a while. The wife was at her parents, so I decided it would be a good way to kill some time.
IMO that's all it was...a waste of time. I couldn't find anything really worth even looking at. Seems like it's become the
"Junk no one wanted and cheap knockoff knife show"
I had a more interesting time at the motorcycle show next door. Was it just a one time bad show or has it just became a swap meet kind of thing? I seem to remember them much better.

I havemt been to a gun show in quite some time. Have no plans to go either, especially as a dealer.
The shows are dead. The promoters have jacked up table prices (so I am told, dont know for a fact) and there are plenty of other outlets for retailers. I have heard of people inding bargains on ammo but that is about it. Not worth it to me.

I remember going to them a few years back and seeinf some pretty good deals. I think I paid $10.00 over book for my Glock 30 from a dealer there. I also got to fondle MP5s and toys like that.
This one I was luck to see a decent AK. There were a FEW AR15/M4 knockoffs painted up in desert camo...well the parts that weren't scratched up were painted in desert camo. They HOARDS of people hanging near the restrooms trying to do private sells.

According to the fiarground website there's another one on 20/21 May. They're calling this one the International Gun A Rama. I might give 'em one more change....but if that's the best they can do with the name...I'm not holding out much hope
