Who Do I Write?

Postby Todd.Scallions » Fri Mar 17, 2006 11:19 am

OK, I just wrote both my state Rep & Senator the other day using the letter generator on the front page. I received a TFALAC alert last night listing everything that will be voted on next week. My question is do I write my Rep & Senator to support those bills or do I need to send my letter to someone that is on the committee that will be voting on the issue? I'm kind of a newbie when it comes to how these committees and subcommittees vote, etc.

It couldn't hurt to politely ask committee members to do something, that said, if they are HCPSC, don't hold out much hope. Eric Watson is a freshman Republican, but the other 4 are Naifeh loyalists. (Naifeh loyalists are the kind of people who kissed Stalins boot and thanks him for doing such good work.)

I would also ask my Rep/Sen to co-sponsor the bills, even if they can't vote it out of committee, it is nice to see them publicly support us.

Well I wrote all five Reps asking for their support on HB2860 and my Rep and Senator to co-sponsor it. Thanks and I'm going to keep my fingers crossed!
