Shelby TFA October Meeting/Sam & Pam Cooper

Postby Pat McGarrity » Thu Oct 09, 2014 9:24 am

Because of the Friends of NRA Banquet being on the same night, the Shelby TFA will not meet in October. Sam Cooper with Shelby TFA was going to speak at the John Birch Society meeting at Range USA tonight at 7:00 PM about his position on the Republican Steering Committee and running for those positions. Unfortunately, Sam has had a family emergency. Please keep Sam and his wife Pam in your thoughts and prayers. Pam Cooper had a very serious allergic reaction and is in intensive care.

Due to family obligations, I will not be able to attend the JBS meeting tonight, although they welcome anyone from TFA that would like to attend. I’ve asked Sam if they need anything and he said not at this time. Again, please keep Sam and Pam in your thoughts and prayers. We will have Shelby Chapter news updates soon.

Thank you,

Pat McGarrity

Sorry to have missed the meeting. But Pam is in the ICU of the Owensboro Ky hospital. As Pat described, she suffered some sort of allergic reaction to something, (has not yet been determined what it was) which almost completely closed off her throat and came close to choking her to death.

She has been in the ICU intubated, and totally sedated since Sunday. Today the breathing tube was removed and taken off the sedation. She is now breathing on her own, awake, talking but still pretty weak and groggy.

We do not yet know exactly when she will be released so we are up here in Kentucky. We thank everybody for their thoughts and prayers.
