The plot thickens. That would certainly be a good reason, they don't want to kill the goose that is ABOUT to lay the golden egg right in their laps.
This paragraph in the article pretty well sums it up,
"It's going to be like an arms race with Democrats and Republicans trying to compete for this corporate cash," said Turner. "Pumping this money into the campaigns is going to make it more expensive to run... A House race now costs $50,000. They're going to be $150,000 now."
So where does that leave us, the citizens, constituants. Why don't we just elect FedEx as Governor, Bridgestone as Lt. Governor, and General Tire as Speaker of the House and be done with it?
