R-K Gun Show this weekend in Murfreesboro, June 26-27

Folks,

We are in need of members to work the TFA table at the R-K Show in Murfreesboro this weekend...

We have all benefitted from the pro-gun/pro-carry legislation that, due largely to the work of TFA, has passed over the last couple of years. We need to increase the power and voice of TFA in order to continue our fight. The best way for us to do that is through increased membership. R-K Shows is nice enough to GIVE us a table at their gun shows. R-K Shows is also nice enough to charge NO ADDMISSION to TFA members that are there to work at the TFA table. We just need people to be there to do the work.

I know that this is summertime and that people are going on vacations... I know that economic times are hard... All we are asking is a donation of a few hours of your time in order to ensure proper representation of TFA and to build our membership rolls.

So... (In my best R. Lee Ermy voice) COME ON PEOPLE! SHOW ME WHAT IT MEANS TO BE A VOLUNTEER! LET'S GET THIS DONE!!!

As it stands, we have 3 people working Saturday (one of those is working 1/2 a day) and 2 people working Sunday. This is pretty slim, folks. We need at least two people behind the table, and some more folks out walking the aisles talking up TFA.

If you can help us out, please post here and I will relay the information to Rob Anderson (coordinator). For those that have already volunteered, THANKS!!!

I'll be glad to help if needed. I've only been to about 4 meetings and joined TFA earlier this month but I think that I am a fast learner and enjoy talking to people.
I posted on the Facebook page that I could be there Sat. from 9-2 and earlier if you need help setting up. I need to know if you still need me there between those times. I need to know how to get in. I don't have a TFA shirt so I won't be recognized as a TFA rep.

VOLZFAN/DAVID... I tried to send you an e-mail this morning, and I am unsure as to whether or not it ever got through from our iPhone. If it didn't, I apologize... I've spent all day trying to get malware and some other evil glitches removed from my computer, and haven't felt it safe until now to send anything out.

FALCON1... Thanks! We can use all the help we can get!

ALL... If you can get there a few minutes before 9:00a.m. set up should go pretty quickly. From there, we will work the table and will see how big the crowd is... If we have a very heavy crowd, we will stick closer to the table, working the crowd around us. If it is thin, we can get out and work the aisles with the brouchures... If you've not done this before, don't stess - it's very easy, and I'll give you my technique as an idea of how I work. Ultimately, everyone hones their own sales tool, and finds the method with which they are comfortable. In the end, you always get better reception and results from people when you use your own style.

That is correct regarding entry into the show area...

Go to the entry table and have any weapons checked for "clear" and get them strapped. Then go to the desk where you would normally pay for entry and advise them that you are there to work at the TFA table. Call me at the number below if you have any trouble...

I am getting ready to head down to the show and open the table for Sunday. I think I have only one other person helping out this morning and nobody else in the afternoon. We could probably use a hand, especially in the PM.

Well I made it to the show yesterday, but wasn't sure if I was even going to go, so that's why I didn't volunteer to man the booth. Met a few people who were there at the booth. I was the one with the white TFA hat on. Hope you do good at the booth.
