July 20, 2011 - Nashville Meeting - Rep. Glen Casada

Nashville Chapter is scheduled to meet on Tuesday, July 20, 2010

Meeting time is 7:00 p.m. to 8:00 pm

Guest: Rep. Glen Casada is scheduled as our guest speaker. Rep. Casada is the House Republican Caucus chairman at present and is identified as one of the possible contenders for the Speaker's office in 2011.

I encourage you to come to the meeting and share with Rep. Casada your thoughts about Tennessee's firearms laws and the areas in which we continue to need improvement by repealing unnecessary laws, simplifying the laws, removing the local option on parks, etc.

Arrive early - 5:00 to 5:30 would be good. Eat in the meeting room if possible and if not, get as close as you can. We will try finishing eating by 7:00 in the meeting room to clear out everything but drinks for the meeting if we have a large turnout.

IT IS IMPORTANT TO PAY AT GOLDEN CORAL AS YOU COME IN FOR THE MEETING IF YOU ARE EATING. TELL THEM THAT AT THE CASH REGISTER THAT YOU ARE THERE FOR THE MEETING AND TO APPLY THE "GROUP RATE" WHICH INCLUDES YOUR DRINK.

You do not have to be a TFA member to attend nor do you have to be a resident of Nashville. Everyone is welcome and encourage to bring guests - even spouses.

I want to encourage each of you to bring someone with you to the meeting who has not been to one or been to one recently. There's no cost to come (unless you eat because the meal is on you).

Great meeting last night, and excellent turnout!

This was the first meeting I've been able to attend in months, due to recuperating from multiple foot surgeries, & it was
great to see the growth in attendance!

If you missed it, you all come next month!

Did we get the signed receipt back from the post office on the big "Thank You!" card sent to R.R.? Oh, to have been a "fly on the wall" for that one!

The card was sent last Wednesday via First Class Mail. I did not think the return receipt was necessary. The return address was the TFA post office box so if it was returned unclaimed then I am not aware. If it was delivered then I am certain he received it and hopefully did so with the warm regards and best of intentions with which it was sent.
