Darrs Shooting Supply (now closed) had a deal with a smith. No clue who, they were rather gaurded about disclosing his name, which made me unsure about trusting some unknown.
The only gunsmith I have ever used was down in Tunnel Hill, Ga. He took care of me, and I was happy. Before I found him, I resorted to walking in, unsolicited, into machine shops and politely asking for help with modifying parts. (This was done primarily in utter ignorance, as I was around 20 and I think my ignorance showed, as they were surprisingly helpful. In one case, the foreman actually took what I needed, asked what I wanted it for, I told him, he smiled at me, and did everything I needed for me, at no charge - even refusing a tip. God bless that man!)
