There really is a lot of Neo-Conservative thinking here sometimes, which I find to be almost if not AS dangerous as the fascism of Liberals.. You cannot selectively invite Government to save you from things that haven't even happened yet, & expect that the Government will stay out of the things you ask them to. They aren't not going to be like a vacuum cleaner that you put back whenever you're done with them.. That is my main point.. The more you help the Federal Government, & even many state agencies justify their existence, the more funding they get, & then the more tanks, weapons, & other unnecessary items they can buy.. (Items UNnecessary to freedom, but necessary to fascism) Those items will eventually be turned against the citizenry.. The problem with people in this country now, is so many live in a utopia where they think it can't happen here.. Well it's already happening in increments, & while people here are bickering over Embody's goofy little protests, Police Departments are building Armys, & Federal letter agencies are doing the same.

Apologizing & scapegoating is how we ended up where we are as a country. If you haven't looked around lately at the economy, the unconstitutional behavior of some Police, state, & federal governments, you might want to stop & take a few hours to search You Tube, & look at the flagrant abuses that have been caught on camera..

Just this week a Democratic lawmaker named John Dingell said this: “It takes a long time to do the necessary administrative steps, to put the legislation together to control the people.”

I just don't get why so many are missing that you can't have it both ways.. The Federal Government is wildly out of control, & the last thing we should be doing is encouraging their participation in ANY gun related issues.. If you give them an inch as the old adage goes, you can be assured that they will take a mile.. As far as I'm concerned the Federal Government has no jurisdiction on the matter, as it happened in a State Park. Encouraging them to get involved here would be like encouraging Bin Laden to help us fight North Korea..

Speaking of Government abuses on the local level.. In our own back yards the City of Franklin, (Yes, that relatively small city next to Brentwood) has built THIS Behemoth Police station to the tune of about 36 Million dollars.. Go look at the picture of it at the following link, & tell me why a Police Dept. for the City of Franklin has built a building fit for at lease half of the NYC Police department?

I'm sorry if you feel like I was talking directly to you when describing "Neo-Conservative" thinking.. Perhaps you feel guilty? Not sure, but if it doesn't apply to you, you're free to ignore it.. Interesting though how you keep harping on whether or not I decide to get back into the discussion, & how bad you're showing that you'd like to silence me.. I must say, that is a well known fascist, neo-con quality.. (Feigning a belief in free speech.) If you don't want to fit the M.O., then maybe you should stop trying so hard? As much as you try to deny it, the mistrust & abuses of government are VERY MUCH relevant to this discussion..

This has run its course far enough.

Last word: The man never broke the law, what is being done appears to be an abuse of the system, and changing the law to make an orange tip illegal is just silly. Cops have shot people because they held a wallet and it was dark. Around here they have shot unarmed people. The argument that orange tips are a safety issue is specious at best, and going along with any new laws just helps those who hate us, our guns and freedom.

Lastly, for future debates, remember we are here to advance our cause. Quibbling and getting overly offended because someone disagreed with you is unneeded. This forum is a public face of the TFA, remember that.
