City of Columbia - Parks Are Open
Posted: Sun Jul 19, 2009 6:49 pmThe Columbia City Council voted 5-2 to defeat a measure to opt out of the parks carry law on Thursday evening. One councilwoman said the issue was one of rights. She compared the 1st and 2nd amendment by saying when she entered the park she did not want her freedom of speech suppressed.
