Radnor Lake State Natural Area?

I apologize if this question is posted in the incorrect forum.
I went with my family yesterday, and since Radnor Lake is a state park, I expected HCP to apply. There were no postings in the west parking lot or the park office. I was surprised, however, to see a posting at the trailhead which stated, "no firearms, including concealed carry permits."
Is a "state natural area" under a different law than a state park, was this an old sign not updated, or something else?
