Happy Mexican 2 had a dated message on the door, saying Tennessee prohibits carrying firearms in restaurants serving alcohol. Since the sign is outdated, I wonder if it means anything.

I would say that it means whoever runs the place is either not the brightest bulb in the cabinet or that he/she/they ought to at least read a newspaper or watch a newscast once in a while.

Happy Mexican 2 flunked its latest health department inspection miserably. Unless it cleans up, its posting may be trivial.

I have noticed a few places that still have the old state prohibition sign and no posting by the propriator. That tells me that the owner/manager either hasn't been made aware of the new law or doesn't consider it a high priority item. Either way, the way I look at it, it is now a location where you can carry legally now. Because, one, the state prohibition is GONE and it doesn't matter that the operator hasn't taken old sign down and TWO, the owner/manager has NOT posted any signage of any kind signifying their opposition to HCP holders carrying on the property.

To be quite honest, when I go in such locations, I don't bring the situation to their attention. The sign they have was rendered invalid and they havn't posted so their error is in our favor. Just my opinion.

Yeah they failed the health department inspection badly but the simple fact that they demand you leave a credit card at the front (to make sure you don't skip out on them) means I will NEVER set foot into their place whether they pass health inspection or not and whether they are posted or not..... If they are that paranoid they need to get close the doors.....

Those old signs used to be required by law. My understanding is that they are not any more.

Those signs were never a legal posting, and were never meant to be... yet so many HCP holders seem unaware of this fact.
