Just wanted to let everyone know that on M&M Mars safety list (at the Cleveland, Tennessee location) they list that Posession of firearms on plant property is strictly forbidden (including parking lot). Apparently, if you work there you either have to park your car somewhere and walk to work or just leave your gun at home because you can't even leave it in your car to go in and work. Yet another instance of people devaluing human life by restricting self defense. I'm not sure why they think making candy causes permit holders to become criminals. Just another example of the rampant public stupidity regarding the right of self defense.

This is a prime reason to contact our state legislators to pass a law requiring companies to allow their employees with valid Handgun Carry Permits to leave their handguns in their cars in the company parking lot without fear of retribution by the employer.

Same thing for a new store I am working for in Memphis. Can't stow it in the parking lot. But that doesn't stop me from parking one aisle over.

I have been a business owner for many years but is it now required that you allow your employer to search your vehicle which is your private property? It is bad enough that employers are using your life outside of work against you like they pay you 24hrs a day.

Since when can they legally search your vehicle?

E.W. James and Sons in Union City is preparing a policy to ban handguns in vehicles on their property, this includes SAVE A LOT in Union City, Ripley, and McKenzie and the new Kimberly's Market in Gleason. We all need to contact our Senators and Representatives to start work on legislation to stop this type of abuse of our rights.
