City of Medina trying to ban park carry

The City of Medina(38355) is trying to vote a resolution in to suoerceed the park carry ban. It was tabled at the last board meeting. The next meeting is August 3rd, 2009.
Can anyone help me with facts, data, talking points or anyhting that would help the legally armed citizens sway the vote?
Also the city is trying to make the volunteeer Fire Department and EMS sign a statement saying we will not carry in parks, in city vehicles, on city property, or city sponsored event or while acting on behalf of the city.
We usually handle the intial EMS response through our volunteer Fire Department with Mediacal Fist Responders, EMT's and Medics who volunteeer. Most use POV for response. SO, if a patient goes unresponsive at a city park, what do we do. Go home, leave our firearm in a secured location, respond to the incident after the fact. This would add 4-15 minutes to most calls.
Anyone who can help the citizens of Medina who are trying to organize and let the local government know how we feel, please chime in.
Thanks in advance for any help.
