Resolution to prohibit handguns in Parks

Our local city has been sent a resolution from the TN municipal league to prohibit handguns in Public municipal parks. Apparently every municipality in the state has recieved one of the resolutions so its very easy for the city fathers to enact such a resolution. I was able to pick up a copy of the proposed resolution and will be speaking against the resolution at the next meeting next month. If anyone else has been able to stop this action with other TN cities please send me info that I can use.
