Material Likelihood of Risk of Harm to the Public

Postby Menzoberranzan » Mon Jan 14, 2013 10:10 am

Is there any possibility of getting the "material likelihood of risk of harm to the public" clause removed from the TN Handgun Carry Permit laws?

This is nothing more than a backdoor way to arbitrarily and capriciously disarm persons who have committed no crime, but have only offended someone in power.
When you need the police in 30 seconds, they are only 3 minutes away.

I wouldn't be sad to see it go, I only know of it being used twice, and both times were cases of someone doing something legal that some bureaucrat disproved of.

We can ask and demand but frankly the political capitol to pursue it is better used elsewhere.
