House District 60 - Democrat races

House District 60 has been held by Rep. Ben West Jr for 26 years. Rep. West has been a consistent sponsor and supporter of the rights of Tennessee firearms owners. He has voted favorably on these bills consistently.
One of the Democrats running for his seat is Tommy Bradley. Mr. Bradley is a former Metro councilman and a leading contender for the primary win. The winner of the primary will take on Republican Jim Gotto in November.
The Tennessean is reporting this morning that Mr. Bradley is opposed to the recently enacted, re-enacted and twice vetoed/overriden legislation to allow permit holders to carry into restaurants that serve alcohol and similar establishments so long as the property is not posted.
Given the debate over this issue for the last few years, it is imperative that Tennessee's firearms owners know the positions of those desiring public office and shut the door loudly on those who continue to disregard the fundamental rights of citizens, particularly now that this right is so clearly recognized by the United States Supreme Court.
